To meet the growing demand for CNG, the Lincoln Airport has increased the fill rate and storage capacity by 200%. This new upgrade provides significantly faster fill rates, and improved reliability for motorists
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) now available for vehicles in Lincoln
It costs less than gasoline, creates up to 90% fewer smog-producing pollutants and perhaps, best of all, it’s now available to the public at Lincoln’s first CNG fueling station.
CNG Station Meets Airport and Public Demand
The Lincoln Airport operates a fleet of CNG-fueled vehicles, having a safe, secure fill station on site makes perfect sense. And, its proximity to I-80 also makes the station convenient for public use. These factors helped the Airport Authority secure a Metropolitan Energy Center grant to help defray construction costs.
